Lilly
My Happy Home
Lilly

07/16/08 - Lilly is living in Danvers MA with a lovely couple who have enough love to shower endless attention on our Princess. The only other pets they have are fish. Lilly took immediately to Bob who she met first and then when Paula, his wife, came home Lilly was just as excited.

She will have a nice fenced in yard to bask in the sun as she so likes to do. She will be taken on daily jogs with Paula, lunchtime walks w/ both Paula and Bob and evening jaunts around the neighborhood. Also Bob has off Tuesdays and Thursdays and will spend time with Lilly at various lakes and woods in the area. Paula will do the same on the weekends.

I left Lilly on the beach playing chase with Paula and Bob and I slowly drifted out of sight. As I looked back, I saw the silhouette of the three of them as the sun was setting and I smiled a bittersweet smile. I thought as much as I will miss my Princess how wonderful it is to see that she will have such a loving and active forever home. A sense of pride came over me for here was another dog we had saved. And here was a family that was now complete with their new companion dog. Paula, Bob and Lilly we wish you countless days of pure enjoyment with each other and new discoveries along the way.

Buster

06/16/08 - Buster new Mom says....
Buster is continuing to do really well. His separation anxiety if becoming less and less as he gets used to our schedule. He is definitely a love muffin! The other night about 10pm, he walked around the house after doing his business outside, made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, then went into my sons room, laid down on his dog bed, and was in for the night. I love a dog that knows when it is time for bed! Thank you for allowing Buster to share our lives! He is so sweet!

06/01/08 - Buster has been adopted by a really nice family. His mom emailed us and informed us that Buster is really doing great. He he slept with their Son like a baby all night. They are very happy and excited to have him.

Rico

Rico

06/16/08 - Rico is so sweet and adorable! We just love him.

He absolutely loves Harley, and she loves him too. They get along fine....until I show up. Then they push each other for my attention and both seem to be jealous of the other. It only lasts a few minutes and then things are back to normal....following each other around and laying on the couch together.

Rico makes us laugh and we just love him, he still plays with his frog that he came here with, it's his favorite toy.
Thanks again.

04/14/08 - Rico has been adopted and is now living in Mass. and has a Boxer sister named Harley. We are real happy for Rico and know he will have a great new life with his new family.

04/21/08 - Melena's new family named her Kyla, her mom says she is really doing great. Kyla and her mom have become best buddies. Mom says it's the best thing to have such a happy dog greeting her everyday after a long hard day at work. Kyla's mom can't believe just how smart Kyla is and how quick she is to learn new things. She is very, very happy and we are sure Kyla is too.

04/14/08 - Melena has been adopted and lives in Mass. Melena's new family is very active outdoors; we only hope her new family can keep up with her! Melena is the only dog in her new home, but, she does have a kitty she can hang out with. Melena is a very happy girl, we know she'll thrive in her new home.

Mickey

Mickey Mickey

02/04/08 - Update
Mickey's mom says he is really a great dog and fits in great. She says Mickey and his new dad are best buds and go everywhere together. When Mickey's dad takes his daily nap, Mickey climbs into bed with him! Nancy says that Mickey is an excellent boy, he knows all commands and is very well behaved. He gets along great with everyone he meets including other dogs. She says they are spoiling him and he seems to really enjoy it!

01/28/08 - Adopted
Mickey is now living on a farm in Southern Maine. Mickey's new parents have always owned Boxers and are thrilled to have adopted Mickey. Mickey will be the only dog in the household, which is good, because Mickey likes to get all the attention. We think he'll have a wonderful life with his new Mom and Dad and certainly get the exercise he needs. Mickey was last seen chasing the horses and chickens around the yard!

Baby and her family came by for a visit today, it was great to see her, she looks AWESOME! Her Mom and Dad were raving about her and how lucky they feel to have her in their family. They even showed me a portrait they had done of her! Baby seems very, very happy and content. She took over one of the sofas and gets to go almost everywhere her Mom and Dad go. She is one lucky dog; we are just so happy for her!!

12/10/07

Duncan
Duncan

02/11/08 - Update
Duncan is doing great! He's a very spoiled puppy and we LOVE him so much. He's up to 74 lbs and still really lean. Vet is very happy with his weight and temperament. We walk the lake all the time. There is also a dog park that he's made all kinds of new dog friends. He is always a big celebrity in Petco. He met another boxer last night in Petco named Mia. Her owner asked if she could borrow Duncan some time as he calmed Mia right down. Duncan loves his chews and other toys. Other than a few issues to break him of, he's really good (he has a plant fetish so have to keep them out of reach). He loves to take a ride with me in the truck, and is really well behaved on construction sites with me. The contractors all love him, if I don't take him for some reason they're always asking where he is. As you can see in the second picture he helps me around the office, his paws were up on the keyboard to the computer.

10/23/07 - Adopted
Duncan has been adopted and is living in Reading MA with a great new family; he will be vacationing in Maine on the weekends on the lake. Duncan will have a fun, active life and will often be going to work with his dad. Duncan will still get to see his foster brothers, Frankie and Spike as they are friends and go away on weekends together. I can just see them all swimming in the lake in the summer and frolicking in the snow in the winter! Duncan's new dad is thrilled to have him and just went out and bought all kinds of new toys, treats, blankets and pillows to help Duncan stay comfy in his new home. We are very happy for Dunc as both he and his new dad will become best buds in no time.

2/25/08 - Update
Hello there our Boxer loving friends! Sorry it's taken so long for us to get back with you! Chancey has adjusted so well.... him and Cinder are inseparable! They share all the toys, watching them play is better than TV. He is always watching his Mom make food in the kitchen, he loves food!!! He is so much bigger than when we got him... 85 pounds+ sometimes we call him pork chop. He took his first road trip this year, he did so well. You'd be very proud of him, he's come a long way. He has picked up lots of tricks, he even tries to sing with the harmonica.... I stress tries! He needs a little work on his voice! He's doing so well.

4/25/07 - Adopted
Sebastian was adopted to a wonderful family in Maine. He has a huge yard to run and play with his new Boxer sister Cinder. Sebastian is one lucky dog to have found such a great new family and we know he will make them very happy too.

Chico

Chico Chico

Chico Chico

7/09/07 - Update
Chico is doing great. He is very happy and pretty much has his own couch. In the heat of things, he is in our house with A/C not to cold though.........cause I can't stand it cold and he is a heat mizer loving the sun and heat. He loves tennis balls and play catch/fetch. He loves Brittanie...especially when she giggles. He loves the quiet nights when Brian is at the fire house and I sit on the floor with him and rub his nose and belly, it makes him smile... He is very happy here! I had my nephews here over the holiday weekend and my 14 month old nephew just loved him... it took him awhile to get use to Chico's kisses. I think it was the feel of his tongue. He has learned several commands and listens to them well! Off (jumping), quiet (barking) and the basic sit and down. He is doing a great job! Chico is a great addition to our family. He definitely is a little spoiled but in a good way! We love him dearly! It was a year June 3rd that Keyla died and we miss her a lot but we are very lucky to have Chico!

9/10/06 - Adopted
Chico has been adopted by a loving family in New Hampshire. We are confident Chico will receive a lot of love and in return give a lot too! Chico came into our program with no training whatsoever, although he has come along way while in BINS care, his new family is excited about taking him to obedience classes so that he can be the best boy he can be.
